Multiscale organisation of neurogenesis
3D
Animation
How do hundreds of cells decide when to become neurons?
This animation explores how dynamic gene expression drives the spatial and temporal organisation of neurogenesis in the developing mouse embryo. From the neural tube’s pseudostratified epithelium to the oscillatory patterns of Hes5 expression, we follow how transcriptional dynamics at the single-cell level give rise to coordinated tissue-scale patterns that guide neuronal differentiation.
This animation was produced for the Papalopulu lab.
